One night, the sky filled with the stars of the warrior ancestors, a kitten was born to two normal warriors. She was beautiful; a pure white she-cat with soft, rounded ears and a long tail. She seemed normal for the first week. When she began to walk, and see, and hear, that's when the differences started to become clear.
At night, a symbol would glow upon her left hind leg. The symbol looked similar to a butterfly with bowed wings and a small thin body; light green. The parents weren't concerned with the strange symbol: it was just a discoloration on her leg-- nothing to worry about. But the leader watched her with intense eyes, marking her every move.
She grew, and as she grew she became more beautiful. She had a perfect, silken pelt; a long tail; long whiskers and light green eyes. She became the talk of all the Clans. Every male wanted her, and she never denied them. And yet, with her beauty came a price: she was unable to have kits. With her beauty, she planned to take over all of the Clans. At her time, all of the leaders were male-- perfect for her plans to be set in motion.
The leader of her Clan approached her parents. He had been sharing tongues with StarClan and a prophecy was revealed to him.
Different among you is she,
Whose beauty is coveted by he.
More are to come,
You must choose,
Who to save
And who to lose.
Her beauty was coveted by all of the leaders, even her own; he admitted it. But he was strong enough to not let it blind him. The prophecy required discernment: you had to choose who would be good within the clans, and who would be cancerous. And more were to come. More hard times were ahead.
The parents agreed with their leader. Their beloved, beautiful daughter must be exiled. And she was. Just as the prophecy foretold, more were born to the clans. Not all had to be exiled; very few actually were. But they are still born and it seems as though their numbers are as steady as ever.
