Mountain Peaks To hunt their primary prey, FlameClan cats have to scale the mountains to get closest to where they normally dwell. Though most prey commonly found in other territories are scarce in FlameClan territory, they are able to hunt prey unique to their territory such as hawks, eagles, and falcons. The birds are often big enough to feed many cats at once, so even though prey is less common on the mountaintops, the clan can eat well year-round. The feathers that come from these prey can also be used for bedding, since moss is rather hard to find. Also, on the slopes themselves live the occasional rabbit or mouse that skilled warriors and apprentices can hunt. Moderators: [ vi . ], . shadow*! |

The Plains Whenever the land flattens out, whether at the peaks of plateaus or down in a valley, mentors take advantage of these plains to train apprentices in battle. Warriors also train their apprentices in fighting on the slopes of the mountains so they can be strong-legged and have a good sense of balance. Scarcity of trees make warriors unaccustomed to fighting in forestry, but in the event that they'd have to fight on their own soil, FlameClan cats would have the advantage, since most opponents aren't used to battling on ground as uneven as the FlameClan mountains. The Valleys In the valleys between the mountains, there are multiple small lakes, which are the clan's primary source of water. Herbs also grow more predominantly here than anywhere else in FlameClan's territory, which is, of course, where the medicine cat must go to get the medicine needed to treat sick cats. It is a bit of a hassle for cats to get water and herbs from down in the valleys back up to camp, so patrolling cats often bring water and herbs back to camp on their way back up after a patrol. If busy, the medicine cat may also send apprentices to fetch herbs for them, but most of the time, the medicine cat will take a few cats with them to gather herbs so trips up and down the mountain are less frequent and energy-sapping. Mountain Slopes Most of FlameClan's territory being uneven ground, all FlameClan cats are very used to climbing the steep slopes of the mountains. The slopes are dotted with random rabbit burrows if hunters want to bring land prey back to the clan. Mentors also train apprentices in battle on the hills to keep apprentices quick and stable on their paws. Occasional bushes are sprawled out on the mountains if the medicine cat is in need of those certain berries or leaves. The mountain slopes are good for practically any chore any of the clan cats need to do - hunting, training, herb-gathering... and apprentices also like to play games and roll around, as long as they don't tumble to the valleys below.
