Starless Sonata is a brand-new, small, literate play-by-post role play forum based on the Warriors series by Erin Hunter. We have a unique setting, located in a land separate from the original series with only two Clans - IceClan and FlameClan. We are currenty plot-less, but never fear! We shall be up with one shortly. If you have any questions, feel free to PM an admin or ask on the chat box below.
Prey
Abundant Average Temps
60° - 70° F
The weather is nice and cool, with beautifully colored leaves all over the forest. Prey is in abundance as they prepare for the incoming leaf-bare. Both Clans are in good health.
Awards will be chosen once we get enough members and the role play kicks in.

IceClan
IceClan Camp (7 sub-boards) Surrounded by a wide but gentle stream, IceClan's camp is just another island among the several pieces of scattered land that make up their territory. Although there are no walls and few trees to protect the cats from shelter or harm, the water that surrounded the clearing is large enough to slow down invaders at the least. The fish that populate the waters know to keep away from the camp, but some occasionally stray close enough for warriors who happen to be near the edge to snatch up. Most of the dens are made up of willow trees, crevices in stray boulders, or abandoned burrows dug by badgers in the moist soil long before the Clans arrived. Moderators: [ vi . ], . shadow*!

IceClan Territory (4 sub-boards) IceClan's territory is simply several islands of various sizes scattered across a vast lake. Each island seemed to obtain its own special purpose (i.e. training, hunting, gathering, etc.) as time passed. Several flat stepping stones form paths between each island so warriors who do not wish to get their fur wet may travel by those instead. Although the stones are slick and usually wet, there is not current in the lake, so any cat who accidentally slips should be able to swim to the nearest stepping stone in less than a few heartbeats. River birches and willows populate the islands, along with prey, herbs, and moss. Not much land kill can be found in IceClan, but innumerable numbers of fish dart around the waters, allowing IceClan cats to be well-fed throughout the seasons. Moderators: [ vi . ], . shadow*!
FlameClan Camp (7 sub-boards) FlameClan's camp is a small, flat plateau located between the mountainous and flatland regions of their territory. The lush green grass is soft, and several large boulders that scatter across the opening provide excellent dens and protection. There is not much shelter against wind or precipitation except for the rocks, so the cats have become accustomed to getting their fur ruffled and wet frequently. During midnight, when there are no clouds in the sky, Silverpelt shines upon FlameClan the brightest, giving them light and faith for their warrior ancestors. Moderators: [ vi . ], . shadow*!
FlameClan Territory (4 sub-boards) Made up mostly of mountains and plateaus, it's no wonder FlameClan boasts the strongest climbers. Not many herbs can be found in the main areas of their territory except for the lower plains far below, but unique prey that no other Clan has populates the mountains. Since not many trees grow around the area, FlameClan is the least supplied in moss, but they counter the shortage with feathers and down from the eagles and falcons that soar through the sky. Although FlameClan is probably the least convenient when it comes to resources (they must rely on minute pools or climb to the foot of the mountains to the small lakes below for water), they are proud to live among the cliffs and be the closest to StarClan, whom watch over them closely during the night. The Gorge A deep, wide gorge separates IceClan from FlameClan. Its sheer cliffs and frothing waves several yards below the surface are intimidating and few cats dare go near the edge. It is rumored that the ground at the cliff's edge is also soft and unstable, so it is possible for a cat that gets too close to tumble into the gorge because the ground beneath them collapsed. There are large rocks constantly bathed in sunlight during the day on either side of the gorge, a few feet from the edge, where several warriors from both FlameClan and IceClan come to relax and sun themselves. Moonfalls Moonfalls, located just north of FlameClan, is where medicine cats and leaders can share tongues with StarClan. It is a shallow hot spring surrounded by tall, slick rocks with a small waterfall at the center of the opposite side of the entrance. For one to dream, they must wade into the pool, lay down, and touch noses with the water. When one wakes up and emerges from the spring, their fur is somehow dry, as if they hadn't just dunked themselves in a pool for a whole night. The trip for both IceClan and FlameClan (although FlameClan has it easier) is long and hard, but well worth it, for the serene and mystical beauty and peaceful smells of just standing in Moonfalls is unforgettable. The Fortress The Fortress is a section of the forest, right in the middle of IceClan and FlameClan, where gatherings are held each full moon. It is a large sandy clearing surrounded by a ring of tall oak trees and long-growing ferns. Just beyond the border are two giant parallel boulders on the outer edge of the clearing. A leader from each Clan stands on the boulder that points in the direction of their territory and address the gathering cats from there. The boulders are slick, smooth, and large, making it very difficult to climb for the average warrior. Moderators: [ vi . ], . shadow*!

Birch Forest Some ways away from the Clans` territories is a medium-sized forest filled with birch trees. Most loners make their homes there if they choose not to live in an abandoned Twoleg nest or barn. The loners there are friendly, and although they do get into conflicts, it is not common. Prey and herbs are abundant in this forest, and there are several good basking areas. But with these luxuries also comes dangers. Foxes, badgers, and snakes lurk in the shadows of these forests, and they multiply fast. Moderators: [ vi . ], . shadow*!

Carrionplace Near the Twolegplace is the Carrionplace, where Twolegs dump their trash and leave it there to rot. Several rogues can be found here, rummaging for food or fighting each other for a variety of reasons. Not many rogues make their homes in this place, but they do tend to spend much of their time in this area. If they are not scavenging or battling, they are usually chatting with old friends and basking in the sun on a stray rock some fox-lengths away. The area is dangerous, since rats with disease populate the dump and attack the cats frequently. Wild dogs that make the rats and cats their prey can also be found here. Overall, the Carrionplace is fatal, but the daring nature and hunger of rogues lure them here.
Twolegplace About a day's travel from the forest is a large Twolegplace. Innumerable kittypets make their homes there to live their soft, spoiled, kittypet life. A few loners also live here, although they are rare. Most of the Twolegs are friendly to cats, but if you're noisy, they're guaranteed to throw something at you from one of the gaps in their nests. The kittypets here, albeit spoiled, are also kind and helpful. If one needed to travel through the Twolegplace for any reason, the cats who live here are willing to guide them all the way to the other side (that is, if they're not scared out of their wits).
